Homesteading is not for sissy’s. The naysayers will be many. Don’t listen, don’t get discouraged. Follow your own heart and do what it takes to make your dreams come true.
I have had so many failures in all my new adventures. But I don’t really think of them as failures. Simply a try. Try and Try Again! and again, until you succeed.
Seeds are a perfect example of this. We have started growing a lot of herbs, flowers and veggies here on The Butterfly Hill. Some were small plants, but to keep costs down, I planted several terrariums of seeds. Wow! who knew that it would be so challenging. You get things going great, then the weather changes, you forget to water ONE day at the perfect time and voila, your starting over. The best advise I have seems silly, but when your looking at seeds that you have nurtured for weeks, as they lay dead in the dirt. Do not keep doing the same thing. Try something different. I have found the most important thing is to never let them dry out. And start over as many times as you need to. Don’t give up!
We Can Do This! All it takes is perserverance and a little luck! I believe that we can do anything.
