Honey is calming, warming, moistening, and healing.
I use local honey daily to help with allergies. It is said that it improves resistance to local allergens, by introducing small amounts into your system, via the Bees pollen.
Honey mixed with Onion was the most widely used remedy during the great depression. To this day, many still talk about this one. Honey is used to draw the juice from an onion making a powerful and effective cough syrup. Slice an onion into rings and place in a deep bowl. Cover with honey and let sit for 10-12 hours. Strain out the onion and take 1 tablespoon of the syrup four or five times a day.
Honey was used in ancient Egyptian times as a beauty aid. Use as a mask. Apply directly to face and let dry for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and feel the smoothness and freshness of your skin! It’s also supposed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles!
Honey can be used as an antimicrobial healing treatment for blemishes, apply directly to blemish 15-20 minutes before showering then rinse and moisturize.
Gargle with a glass of warm water with a teaspoon of honey to help ease a sore throat.
Honey can be used to treat an eye infection by mixing a teaspoon of honey into warm water and applying to the effected eye with a warm compress.
Mix Honey with Apple Cider to relieve the symptoms of arthritis. This helps to break down the deposits in the joints.
Caution: NEVER GIVE RAW HONEY TO A CHILD UNDER ONE YEAR OF AGE.
